"The Zhanaozen City Prosecutor's Office, as part of an analysis of compliance with environmental legislation, established the fact of discharge of liquid used by the SAAT Group LLP for cleaning oil pipelines into the soil", the department's press service reported.
After laboratory analysis, traces of petroleum products were found in samples of the seized soil.
As a result, based on the act of the city prosecutor's office, the company was held administratively liable and fined 4 million tenge.
Recall that in September, environmental prosecutors in Aktobe fined Voskhod Khrom LLP more than 2.9 billion tenge for violations during the processing of chrome ore in the Khromtau district of the Aktobe region. Throughout 2022, the enterprise operated without a mandatory environmental permit.
Later, Aktobe public figure Murat Zhakiev tried to call to account the enterprises that have been polluting the city's territory for many years. At the same time, Zhakiev stated that the state rate for emissions of harmful substances into the environment and storage of industrial waste is extremely low.
