Prosecutors in the North Kazakhstan region blocked access to prohibited content in educational institutions of the G. Musrepov district, as well as in the Kyzylzhar, Timiryazev, and Ualikhanov districts, and the city of Petropavlovsk.

According to the press service of the department, in 74 schools in the region, students had access to prohibited websites containing materials encouraging dangerous actions, including suicide and violence.

As a result, the heads of educational institutions were held administratively liable under Part 7-2 of Article 409 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, resulting in the imposition of fines.

At the same time, following prosecutors' submissions, access to prohibited websites was restricted in all of the aforementioned educational institutions. It is noted that as a result of the measures taken, the rights of over 11,000 children were protected.

Recall that in December 2023, the prosecutor's office of the Terekti district of the West Kazakhstan region established facts of underage students having free access to prohibited content on the internet in 14 schools.

It was noted that schoolchildren were able to freely visit websites with content about suicide and scenes of violence.
