The director of a gas processing plant is suspected of corruption.

The Anti-Corruption Service of the Mangystau Region is conducting a pre-trial investigation into the director of Kazakh Gas Processing Plant LLP (KazGPP)

According to the press service of the department, he is accused of selling the enterprise's property.

"He is suspected of embezzling the enterprise's property on an especially large scale through its illegal sale without holding an auction", the statement says.

The amount of damage exceeded 65 million tenge. The suspect was taken into custody by court order. 

According to the official website of National Company KazMunayGas JSC, in February last year, Bolat Armiyevich Baishuakov was appointed director of KazGPP. Prior to that, he held the position of chief engineer — deputy director of KazGPP, where he was responsible for organising the plant's production activities.
