The Anti-Corruption Service for Kostanay Region has completed a pre-trial investigation into the chairman and a deputy of the maslikhat of the Beimbet Mailin district.
According to the press service of the agency, the chairman of the maslikhat is accused of offering a bribe in the amount of 2 million tenge to employees of the regional Department of Internal State Audit (DISA). The deputy is accused of acting as an intermediary.
It is noted that the bribe was intended to cover up violations related to an affiliated company's failure to fulfil the terms of public procurement contracts with local state institutions. The case has been referred to court.
Recall that earlier, the Anti-Corruption Service of Aktobe Region completed a pre-trial investigation into the head of the construction department of the Mugalzhar district and deputies of the district maslikhat. They are suspected of embezzling 672 million tenge through the purchase of a 70-flat dormitory under the guise of a residential building intended for socially vulnerable segments of the population.
