The Chairman of the Supreme Audit Chamber (SAC) Alikhan Smailov stated that the department's employees are inspecting JSC "Samruk-Kazyna" National Welfare Fund.
According to media reports, the auditors are also focusing on the debts of JSC "Baiterek" National Management Holding.
"This work is currently underway, and it is too early to talk about any results because it is all still in progress. And as I said earlier, by the end of the first quarter, that is, around the end of March, we will have the results of the performance audit at Samruk-Kazyna, as well as the audit of debt management at the Baiterek company," said Smailov.
Furthermore, he reported that an inspection is also being carried out in the subordinate organisations of the Baiterek national holding.
For context, the SAC previously presented results of an inspection of the agricultural sector. The head of the department, Alikhan Smailov, noted systemic problems that reduce the effectiveness of state support, despite significant budget expenditure.
