The government has allocated 5 billion tenge for the reconstruction of the main heat supply networks in Aktau. According to the government press service, the relevant resolution was signed by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
"The document provides for the transfer of 5 billion tenge to the budget of the Mangystau Region in the form of targeted transfers for the implementation of the project for the reconstruction of the main heat networks of the city of Aktau", the statement said.
These funds will be used for the reconstruction of the most worn-out section of the route, which is 11.5 km long.
It is reported that, overall, from 2024 to 2026, a phased replacement of 44 km of main heating pipelines is required, as their wear and tear exceeds 75%. It is noted that the majority of Aktau's heat supply networks were put into operation in the 1960s.
These measures are expected to reduce the wear and tear of the networks in order to provide the population with high-quality utility services and an uninterrupted heating season.
To recall, in July, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov visited the East Kazakhstan Region to review the progress of the reconstruction of the Ridder Thermal Power Plant, and instructed the Ministry of Energy, together with the regional akimat, to keep this matter under special control.
In April, following complaints from residents of Shakhtinsk about cold apartments, the local thermal power plant was fined approximately 400 thousand tenge for disrupting the heating season.
