The Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition has examined a parliamentary inquiry regarding the situation in the film industry. No violations were found in the collaboration on the film ‘The Tale of the Pink Hare 2’, however, signs of abuse were detected in one of the market participants. The analysis of the film distribution market is ongoing.

In the Pavlodar region, the prosecutor's office has tightened monitoring of the enforcement of court decisions on alimony payments. In January alone, three debtors were brought to criminal liability for evading payments, with their total debt exceeding 6 million tenge.

In the capital's Multidisciplinary City Children's Hospital No. 3, children with measles continue to be treated. Since October 2025, there has been an increase in hospitalisations, with a peak in November-December. Currently, more than 50 children are in hospital, predominantly under five years old. Doctors urge parents to ensure timely vaccination.

The Government of Kazakhstan has published a response to a request from Senate deputies regarding the situation surrounding the Kazakh Research Veterinary Institute. Previously, parliamentarians had raised concerns about the reduction of its territory and risks to biological security. The response states that some of these claims, including data on the seizure of land for development, have not been confirmed.

Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov stated that private laboratories are not yet ready to participate in the medical examination system for intoxication in Kazakhstan. The response to the parliamentary inquiry indicates that their inclusion requires integration with the ESMO, legislative changes, and the creation of mechanisms for procedural recognition of results. For now, examinations are conducted in state-run organisations.
