The cassation court tightened the punishment for two residents of Almaty convicted of manufacturing analogues of psychotropic substances with intent to distribute. Initially the men received 8 years and 7 years 6 months of imprisonment. After the case was reviewed, the terms were increased to 10 years 6 months and 10 years respectively.
