Iran has begun supplying oil to Central Asia amid fuel shortages in Russia
Tajikistan has begun receiving oil and petroleum products from Iran amid disruptions to Russian supplies, while Kyrgyzstan has agreed a proposal to establish a joint oil refinery. For Tehran, this opens up an additional sales market, but the volumes from Central Asia are not capable of replacing the main destinations of Iranian oil exports.
