A deputy of the Turkestan regional maslikhat is suspected of raping a Chinese woman.
Deputy of the Baidibek District Maslikhat, Yergali Amanbayev, has been placed in custody as part of a pre-trial investigation. According to the preliminary version, the suspect committed sexual assault against a 34-year-old female citizen of China.
