Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan dismissed after investigation into statement about possible bribe
Kyrgyzstan's Minister for Emergency Situations, Urmatbek Shamyrkanov, has been dismissed from his post by order of President Sadyr Zhaparov. The decision was based on suspicions of bribery relating to the period when he served as Deputy Minister. At the President's instruction, the General Prosecutor's Office carried out an investigation, which reported that the facts outlined in the submission had been confirmed.
