In Almaty, as part of a criminal investigation, Sanzhar Bokayev has been detained. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, he not only published videos about tree felling and thefts, but may also have been involved in organising these actions. There are also suspicions of fraud on an especially large scale.
WHAT HE IS SUSPECTED OF
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, Bokayev is suspected of disseminating deliberately false information with the aim of shaping negative public opinion. As stated in the materials, he posted videos on social networks about illegal tree felling in parks and thefts at construction sites, which, according to the investigation, may have been organised.
