KompraConf. 2026

The annual conference KompraConf. 2026: Governance. Risk. Compliance took place in Astana. The key theme was the shift of business from reacting to risks that have already arisen to identifying them early with the help of data, automation and artificial intelligence.

The event, organised by Kompra Group, was held on 21 August and brought together 200 offline participants and 1,300 online – representatives of business and the expert community in the fields of compliance, corporate and economic security, risk management and anti-fraud.

NINE YEARS AND NEW DIRECTIONS

This year Kompra marked 9 years since the launch of the service. Opening the conference, CEO of Kompra Group Gauhar Baltabayeva set out the company's strategic vector – the development of a new generation of GRC, where data works in real time, systems interact with one another, and a potential risk is identified before the event occurs.

At the conference the team also presented new directions for the ecosystem's development: a module for checking companies from China, an AI assistant, document workflow on the kompra.kz service, the Kompra mobile app, and an updated interface for the Decider system.

GRC IN THE ERA OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

A separate block of the conference was devoted to the automation of risk management. The panel session was moderated by Assem Bolatzhan, Chair of the Public Council under the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Together with Sergey Prilepko (Freedom Holding Corp.), Anara Kurumbayeva (DataMatrix Corp / Zeus GRC) and Dauren Salipov (MSSP.GLOBAL), participants discussed the use of AI and the shift from periodic assessment to continuous monitoring.

AI IN THE FINANCIAL SECTOR

During the session "Artificial Intelligence and the Digital Transformation of the Financial Industry", Vladimir Tanyushin (Bank CenterCredit), Nurlan Adaliyev (AIFC Committee), Andrey Senuk (Dow Jones) and Sailaukul Yelnur (Freedom Bank Kazakhstan) discussed the use of AI in the banking sector, the automation of compliance and AML, digital assets and new approaches to risk management.

COUNTERPARTY CHECKS: WHERE THE LIMIT OF AUTOMATION LIES

A separate report was devoted to the topic of enhanced due diligence on counterparties and individuals by Andrey Osipov, Kept's expert on economic security. The key thesis: the combination of "data aggregator + AI" is only the first step. For in-depth analysis it is necessary to take into account the specifics of national jurisdictions, to work with primary corporate and court registers, and also to identify informal connections that may remain beyond the reach of automated systems.

The main conclusion of KompraConf. 2026: corporate security, compliance and risk management are increasingly linked to the early identification of potential threats, and not only to reacting to risks that have already arisen. Data, AI and digital tools help companies to obtain the necessary information in good time, to make better-informed decisions and to reduce potential consequences.
