Given the current situation with the floods in Kazakhstan, some companies and organisations have not stood idly by, deciding to help citizens affected by the natural disaster.

For example, zakon.kz reported that Halyk Bank and the Khalyk charitable foundation will allocate 1 billion tenge from their own funds to help Kazakh citizens affected by the floods.

In addition, according to media reports, the foundation of Kazakh businessman Bulat Utemuratov has allocated 680 million tenge to help citizens affected by the floods.

"In these days, like millions of our fellow citizens, we empathise with the residents of the regions affected by the floods, with people who have lost their property. We hope that the allocated funds will allow them to buy essential items and help them get through these difficult days," said the Foundation's director, Marat Aitmagambetov.

The Kostanay plant Allur, the Saran plant QazTehna, and the Temirtau enterprise Qarmet have transferred funds totalling 500 million tenge to the corporate foundation Demeu Qazaqstan Qory to aid those affected by the floods.

The publication bes.media reported that the Kazakh company Astana Motors has also directed 500 million tenge to people affected by the water disaster.

"We are all deeply distressed by what is happening and offer our condolences to our compatriots who have become hostages of the elements and have lost their homes, property, and means of livelihood overnight. We have decided to allocate 500 million tenge to restore normal life in the affected regions," said the company's founder, Nurlan Smagulov.

Meanwhile, the Telegram channel BlueScreen reports that Kaspi.kz and the Biz Birgemiz Qazaqstan charitable foundation have organised a fundraising drive to help those affected by the floods. In a few days, Kazakhstanis have already collected around 80 million tenge. In turn, Kaspi increased the amount to 200 million tenge.

"The money will be directed to the Public Foundation for road repairs, ensuring the operation of rescue helicopters, purchasing generators, pumps, inflatable boats, and medicines in the Aktobe and Kostanay regions," the statement reads.

To support the victims, you need to open the Kaspi.kz application and, in the Payments section, find the Charity item. By selecting the Biz Birgemiz Qazaqstan foundation from the list, anyone wishing to help can transfer funds.

According to information from the Telegram channel NEKhabar, telecom operators Tele2 and Altel, part of the Kazakhtelecom group of companies, have also not stood aside and have supported subscribers in the affected regions of the country. Residents of the Uralsk, Kostanay, and Aktobe regions received 45 free minutes and 45 SMS for contacting subscribers of any Kazakh operator, as well as 8 GB of data

As reported by the Akorda press service, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev assured Kazakhstanis that all losses from the floods will be compensated by the state, as well as by entrepreneurs.

Also, it was previously announced that the Qazaqstan Khalqyna Public Foundation will build 200 houses for those affected by the floods. And it will allocate at least 5 billion tenge to help those evacuated from the flooded areas.
