The Vice-Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dosbol Bekmagambetov, was asked to leave his warm office in the House of Ministries. According to media reports, he had been in post for just one year, since 23 February 2023.
Earlier in Astana, the Anti-Corruption Agency detained another Vice-Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Mansur Oshirbayev.
In turn, his immediate supervisor, the Minister of Ecology Yerlan Nysanbayev commented on the detention, stating that Oshirbayev is a witness in a case concerning the embezzlement of funds allocated for an exhibition in Dubai.
