The Almaty Prosecutor's Office, together with authorised bodies, conducted a two-month inspection of the residential complex «Manhattan», known for repeated violations of public order.
According to the press service of the department, during the raid activities a database was compiled for each apartment, indicating the owners, their places of work, contact details, the presence of registered weapons, records of prosecutions, as well as information on the rental of housing.
The inspection revealed approximately 1,000 offences, including:
- 120 cases of violation of migration legislation;
- 98 cases of violation of public order;
- 114 cases of illegal rental;
- 22 apartments used for the provision of intimate services;
- 567 violations of traffic rules;
- 7 cases of illegal sale of alcoholic products.
The Prosecutor's Office emphasised that the work was carried out jointly with the police and other state bodies. Its goal is to ensure the safety of citizens, improve law and order, and enhance the quality of life for residents of the metropolis.
