In the town of Makinsk, an industrial enterprise has been held accountable for polluting drainage ditches. An inspection revealed that the concentrations of several substances in the wastewater exceeded permitted levels, and the court ordered the plant to rectify the violations and prevent further harm to the environment.

WHAT THE INSPECTION FOUND

According to the Bulandy District Court, Makinsk Insulation Plant LLP failed to comply with the terms of its issued environmental permit. As a result, pollutants entered the ditches intended for wastewater drainage, reports the Telegram channel «HALYQSTAN»

Specialists from the Department of Ecology of Akmola Region took water samples. Laboratory tests revealed that the maximum permissible concentrations had been exceeded for several indicators: ammonium nitrogen, copper, iron, sulphates, chlorides, chromium, and manganese.

THE COURT'S DECISION AND REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ENTERPRISE

Inspection materials, as well as photographic and video evidence, confirmed the company's guilt. The court imposed a fine of 150 MCI (648,750 tenge).

Furthermore, the plant has been ordered to develop and implement a plan of measures by 9 February 2026 to eliminate the violations and prevent further environmental pollution.

The court ruling has not yet entered into legal force.

BACKGROUND

Previously, the FBRK editorial team had already reported on the situation in Makinsk: residents reported reddish-pink water in the ditches, and ecologists determined that the source of the pollution was the territory of the Makinsk Insulation Plant. At that time, following an unscheduled inspection, an administrative report was drawn up and the materials were sent to court.
