The head of the financial pyramid “Qnet” in the Kostanay region has been sentenced to six years in prison.
According to the press service of the Kostanay courts, the convicted woman registered as an independent representative of the international company “Qnet” and from August 2017 to September 2022 attracted people to the financial pyramid.
It became known that her victims numbered 94 people. The damage amounted to 86 million tenge.
The accused did not admit her guilt and demanded an acquittal. However, she compensated for the damage caused. In the end, the court sentenced the woman to 6 years in prison with a ban on holding leadership positions in financial, commercial and non-profit organisations for a period of 5 years.
It is reported that the verdict has not yet come into force.
Recall that previously the organiser of a branch of the financial pyramid “Qnet” in the Aktobe region received 5 years in prison. He was accused of creating and managing a structural division of the company, the activity of which was disguised as network marketing.
It was also reported that the financial pyramid “Qnet” from 2018 to 2020 attracted 231 Kazakh citizens and caused total material damage of more than 220 million tenge.
Furthermore, it became known that among those managing a branch of the financial pyramid “Qnet” in Petropavlovsk, former police officers were identified.
