Ministry of Finance has drafted a government resolution to introduce additions to the Rules for the Use of Reserves of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and local executive bodies.
As reported by zakon.kz, the department proposes "to provide a mechanism for the allocation of funds from the reserves of the government and local executive bodies to subsidise the losses (debts) of energy-producing organisations".
In particular, the allocation of funds is provided to compensate for the losses of energy companies, including those that are state-owned and engaged in the production of electric and thermal energy, as well as distilled water.
The document has been posted on the website "Open NPA" for public discussion until 16 May.
