The economy of Kazakhstan has grown by 6.2% since the start of the year

At a government meeting chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, the results of socio-economic development and the execution of the republican budget since the beginning of the year were reviewed.

According to the government press service, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) indicator in the country reached 6.2% over six months. It is noted that growth is recorded in the construction, trade, industry and communications sectors.

It is noted that this rate is 0.2 percentage points higher than in the first five months and is the highest GDP growth rate in the last 14 years. For the same period last year, growth was 3.2%.

It has become known that the largest contributions to growth were made by the real sector of the economy (+8%), the services sector (+5.2%), as well as the transport (+22.7%) and construction (+18.4%) industries

Earlier, it will be recalled, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the launch ceremony of a supercomputer based on NVIDIA H200 graphics processors at the Alemcloud National Supercomputer Centre. The event took place in the new data centre of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry (MDDIAI).

It is expected that its use will accelerate large-scale digitalisation and transparency, including in addressing many economic issues.
