The akimat of the Akmola Region has purchased anti-eavesdropping devices.

The office of the akim of Akmola Region purchased two noise generators this year for 162,000 tenge. The devices protect equipment from data leaks via electromagnetic emissions.

According to media reports, the akimat also bought two mains interference suppression filters costing 124,000 tenge, which prevent unauthorised access to information via power supply circuits. 

The regional administration also purchased two digital line filters, designed to protect against eavesdropping on analogue telephone lines. 

In addition, the akimat bought 2 mobile phone signal jammers for 667,000 tenge and 9 video cameras costing 198,000 tenge each. The cameras are equipped with motion sensors and can also be used for online surveillance.
