Hackers have claimed that they gained access to the data of more than 600,000 Kyrgyz citizens and published it.
According to media reports, the hackers, who call themselves "Team Insane Pakistan", stated that they did this as a protest against the actions of Kyrgyz citizens who attacked foreign students in Bishkek.
It is reported that the attackers stole the information by hacking a subdomain of the "gov. kg" website.
Journalists have learned that the leaked database contains both outdated and current information about citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
This includes addresses and personal identification numbers (PINs). In addition, the list includes data of civil servants, politicians, and officials responsible for cybersecurity.
"This database is not available on the open internet. We hacked a subdomain of the 'gov. kg' website and used a vulnerability in SQL (Structured Query Language) to obtain data on more than 500,000 Kyrgyz citizens. These people targeted our Pakistani brothers. If they do not stop their attacks, we will publish even more data. All 'gov. kg' websites are vulnerable", the hackers stated.
It should be recalled that on the night of 17th to 18th May, mass protests occurred in Bishkek following a fight with foreigners. Around a thousand people gathered near a student dormitory, after which riots began. Due to the mass unrest, Pakistan began to evacuate its citizens.
