One of the co-owners of JSC «Central Asian Electric Power Corporation» (CAEPC) and business partner of Alexander Klebanov - Sergey Kan owns property in central Moscow worth approximately 800 million tenge.
According to the Telegram channel «Access to the Sea», these are apartments measuring 150 m² with a parking space in a club house at 2 Bolshoy Golovin Lane. The property is located near Tsvetnoy Boulevard and the Garden Ring.
A number of senior Russian businessmen and former officials also live in the same building. It is noted that the entrepreneur's wife, Zhanna Kan, regularly visits Moscow and posts photos from these apartments.
It has become known that Sergey Kan and Alexander Klebanov's son, Yakov, through a joint company «Circle Maritime Invest», own a fleet of vessels supporting the North Caspian project, as well as the entity «Caspian Offshore Construction Russia», which cooperates with «Lukoil» in the Caspian Sea. In addition, Kan has a stake in the Rixos Almaty hotel and in LLP «Teniz Star», which manages commercial property.
At the beginning of 2024, it was reported that the Ekibastuz Thermal Power Plant, previously part of CAEPC, was transferred to the state for 200 thousand tenge. Officially, the reason was numerous breakdowns and accidents at the facility. Despite this, Kan and Klebanov continue to control thermal power plants in Pavlodar and Petropavlovsk, whose wear and tear, according to official data, exceeds 70%.
However, Kan's Moscow apartments, for all their impressive value, are incomparable to the foreign property of his business partner.
So, in November last year, it was reported that businessman Alexander Klebanov bought a villa on the French Riviera worth twice the annual profit of CAEPC.
Later, it became known that his son Yakov Klebanov became the owner of a luxury penthouse in Dubai, estimated at approximately $4 million (about 2 billion tenge).
