The press service of the Atyrau Oil Refinery (ANPZ) has denied information about the start of a criminal investigation into its general director Galymzhan Zhussanbayev.
The company stated that there have been no official notifications or requests from law enforcement agencies.
"In connection with a publication on the Telegram channel of the Ulysmedia publication and other sources of information concerning an allegedly initiated criminal investigation into the head of Atyrau Oil Refinery LLP, Galymzhan Zhussanbayev, we officially declare: this information is false and completely untrue", the statement reads.
Meanwhile, the ANPZ press service considers the investigation information to be a fabrication aimed at damaging the reputation of the plant and its employees.
"In the event of further dissemination of false information, Atyrau Oil Refinery LLP reserves the right to apply to the competent authorities to protect its legitimate interests, including bringing those who spread defamatory information to justice", the appeal to the media states.
It is worth recalling that information appeared online about an investigation by the Anti-Corruption Service into the general director of ANPZ Galymzhan Zhussanbayev and his deputies Raspekova and Yeskaliyev. The media claimed that the ANPZ management is suspected of accepting a bribe on an especially large scale (part 4 of article 366 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
