Based on the results of 2023, members of the board of Halyk Bank are set to receive remuneration totalling 3.2 billion tenge. It should be noted that in 2022, members of the Halyk Bank board received 2.9 billion tenge.
According to ‘Nege.Aqsha’, the bank's board, chaired by Umut Shayakhmetova and her deputies, consists of 9 people. It is reported that in 2023, Halyk Bank's net profit rose to 693.4 billion tenge.
‘Furthermore, in April 2024, the bank returned part of the “historical assistance” to the state, paying 181.6 billion tenge out of the 250 billion tenge received as a deposit from Kazkom in 2015,’ the statement said.
At the same time, it has become known that Halyk Bank shareholders will receive dividends for 2023 amounting to 277.4 billion tenge. In the previous year, dividends totalled 276.9 billion tenge.
Recall that earlier JSC ‘Narodny Bank of Kazakhstan’ (Halyk Bank) announced the sale of 100% of the shares of its subsidiary bank in Kyrgyzstan — OJSC ‘Halyk Bank Kyrgyzstan’.
It is expected that all shares of the Kyrgyz ‘subsidiary’ have been transferred to a consortium of buyers that are part of the investment group Visor International DMCC (Visor).
