A court in Dubai has sentenced 22-year-old Kazakh citizen Ernur Almakhan to life imprisonment and a fine of approximately 300 million tenge. The sentence has not yet entered into legal force; an appeal has been lodged, with its hearing scheduled for 27 April. Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that it is providing necessary legal support and has requested additional information from the UAE authorities.
