In the city of Aksu, Pavlodar Region, police discovered a warehouse containing plant-based substances with a total weight of approximately 300 kg.
WHAT WAS FOUND IN THE WAREHOUSE
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the warehouse was identified in one of the city's garage cooperatives.
The operation was carried out by officers of the Republican State Institution 'Institution No. 63' of the Committee of the Criminal Executive System (CCES) in cooperation with the Department for Combating Organised Crime of the Police Department (PD) of Pavlodar Region.
During operational and investigative activities, police seized 13 bags of plant-based substances. The total weight of the seized items amounted to approximately 300 kg. All seized substances have been sent for forensic chemical analysis.
HOW THE CACHE WAS FOUND
The location of the cache was determined during work with an individual held in custody at a pre-trial detention facility in Pavlodar.
According to the MIA, information was obtained during investigative actions regarding the possible involvement of this person in the illegal drug trade. This data served as the basis for conducting the operation and subsequent seizure.
PROGRESS OF THE FURTHER INVESTIGATION
Law enforcement agencies are continuing operational and investigative activities.
The MIA stated that at this stage, the main task is to establish the supply routes and identify all individuals involved in organising this channel.
All materials have been sent to the relevant authorities for a procedural decision in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The status of the suspects and further classification of their actions have not been specified in the materials.
