In the Turkestan Region, officers from the National Security Committee (NSC), together with the police and under the coordination of the prosecutor's office, have suppressed the activities of a criminal group. As part of the investigation, a pre-trial proceeding has been initiated against 17 individuals.
WHAT IS KNOWN ABOUT THE INVESTIGATION
According to the press service of the NSC, operations to suppress the illegal activity were carried out on 12 June 2026.
According to the investigation, members of the group are suspected of organising illegal intermediary services for drivers of heavy goods vehicles. This involves the accelerated processing of customs procedures when crossing the state border.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE INVOLVED IN THE CASE
Based on the collected materials, a pre-trial investigation has been launched against 17 individuals. As reported by the department, 5 people have been placed in a temporary detention facility (TDF).
WHAT WAS SEIZED DURING THE SEARCHES
During the searches, law enforcement officers seized 5 units of firearms and pneumatic weapons, large sums of money, and other physical evidence.
