According to the Prosecutor's Office of the Ulytau region, the work was carried out by the Prosecutor's Office of the city of Satpayev in coordination with the Committee for the Protection of Investors' Rights. The violation of the rights of Mezgilder Qushteri LLP was identified during an analysis of compliance with the law when handling appeals from business entities. WHY THE PROBLEM AROSE
It was established that from July 2025, the enterprise repeatedly appealed to the state revenue authority regarding the return of the overpaid amount of value-added tax on the import of equipment.
Despite the provision of all necessary documents and repeated appeals, the issue remained unresolved for a long time. The materials do not specify the reason for the delay in the return of funds.
WHAT MEASURES THE PROSECUTORS TOOK
In accordance with the requirements of the Tax Code, in the absence of tax arrears, the return of an overpaid amount is made based on the taxpayer's application within the time limits established by law.
To restore the investor's violated rights, the city prosecutor's office issued a supervisory review act. As a result of the measures taken, the company had its overpaid tax payments returned in the total amount of 55 million tenge.
