In Ekibastuz, violations of official ethics have been identified among civil servants of the akimat, linked to participation in gambling. According to the Pavlodar Regional Prosecutor's Office, a number of officials had active accounts with bookmakers, despite a current legislative ban.
WHAT VIOLATIONS WERE IDENTIFIED
It is reported that the personal account of the head of the sector of the housing and communal services department (HCS), passenger transport and highways had a turnover of 6.8 million tenge.
Similar facts were established regarding the akim of a rural district, the deputy head of the housing inspection department, as well as seven employees of the akimat's structural divisions in the city.
WHAT MEASURES HAVE BEEN TAKEN
Following the internal investigation, materials on all identified facts have been sent to the Ethics Council of the Department for Civil Service Affairs in Pavlodar Region.
In addition, the head of the city akimat's apparatus has been brought to disciplinary responsibility for insufficient oversight of compliance with the standards of conduct for civil servants.
