In the capital's military unit 5573 of the National Guard, a video surveillance system based on artificial intelligence (AI) is being tested. The technology analyses the behaviour and emotional state of servicemen, making it possible to identify potentially dangerous changes and respond to them promptly.
HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS
According to the press service of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD), the system is integrated with existing cameras and provides round-the-clock video stream analysis.
The technology is based on AI algorithms. It not only records what is happening but also analyses the actions, behaviour and emotional state of servicemen in real time.
HOW THE SYSTEM RESPONDS TO VIOLATIONS
Official representative of the National Guard Alibek Abdilov noted that the system enables the identification of potential risks at an early stage.
“If signs of aggression are detected in a serviceman's actions, the AI-based system sends a corresponding notification to unit commanders, educators and psychologists via instant messengers. This allows the necessary measures to be taken in a timely manner,” said Alibek Abdilov.
WHAT HAPPENS TO THE DATA
Video footage is stored on a specialised platform. The materials do not specify how long the information is kept or who has access to it.
WILL THE SYSTEM BE EXPANDED
If its effectiveness is confirmed, the system could be implemented in other military units as well.
