The Department of Police (DP) of the city of Almaty reported that the boy died from stab wounds. According to a preliminary version, a conflict arose between the teenagers, during which the victim sustained fatal injuries.
WHO WAS DETAINED
A 13-year-old resident of Almaty, who was acquainted with the deceased, has been detained on suspicion of murder. The DP of the city of Almaty reported that a criminal case has been opened regarding the incident and an investigation is underway.
The suspect has been placed in a specialised institution. After the investigation is completed, the issue of holding the suspect's parents accountable for improper upbringing of the child will be considered.
WHAT THE RELATIVES OF THE DECEASED SAY
Relatives of the deceased claim that the boy was inflicted with nine stab wounds.
According to those close to him, they fear the suspect may avoid serious punishment due to his age. The relatives are also asking for the case to be given public attention.
Furthermore, the family states that they have not yet been granted access to the seized video recordings and do not have all the details of the investigation.
