Business Park Navigator LLP, which produces Samal water, has lost its licence following criticism.

According to media reports, the company has been accused of extracting water near a cemetery.

"How can you take water next to a cemetery and supply it to people as natural water?", a user left a review for the plant on 2GIS.

It is reported that the water production plant is located 500 metres from the Northern Almaty Cemetery at 157B Bartolda Street.

Meanwhile, the samal.kz website states that the artesian well in the Turksib district is at a depth of more than 300 metres.

It has emerged that, as a result, on 17 July, by order of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Department of the Turksib District, Business Park Navigator LLP had its licence revoked.

For context, it was previously reported that the major company Nestle was selling filtered water containing faecal bacteria and pesticides under the guise of natural mineral water.
