The prosecutor's office of the North Kazakhstan Region (SKO) reported preventing unjustified budget expenditures totalling 75.8 million tenge. Violations were identified during inspections related to connecting schools to the internet.

According to the press service of the department, officials from the education departments of the Ayirtau, Akzhar, Esil, Mamlyut, Taiynsha, Ualikhanov districts, as well as the G. Musrepov district and Shal akyn district, entered into contracts worth more than 360 million tenge in circumvention of the requirements of the Budget Code and public procurement rules. At the same time, the quality of the services provided did not meet the technical specifications.

As established by the prosecutor's office, in the Akzhar district, due to low internet speed, teachers at Gorkovskaya School were forced to buy a router at their own expense, which violates the Law "On the Status of a Teacher".

Following the inspections, officials were brought to disciplinary responsibility. In addition, additional agreements were concluded to reduce the cost of services, which made it possible to avoid unjustified expenditures.

Recall that earlier the prosecutor's office of the Borodulikha district of the Abai region identified a leak of personal data of 194 employees from three secondary schools. The violation was discovered during monitoring of the public procurement portal.

When announcing public procurements for medical examinations of employees, the institutions posted lists of all employees with personal data, including personal details, Individual Identification Numbers (IIN) and other information.
