The Prosecutor's Office of the North Kazakhstan Region identified systemic violations of veterinary legislation affecting several districts of the region and creating risks to sanitary safety.

According to the department's press service, in the Ualikhanov district the veterinary service inflated vaccination figures by 10,000 head of livestock.

In the same district, in the village of Karaterk, improper maintenance of a livestock burial site was recorded, violating mandatory veterinary regulations.

In the Aiyrtau and Mamlyut districts, as well as in the districts named after G. Musrepov and Shal akyn, instances of unlawful issuance of veterinary certificates to entrepreneurs were identified — documents were issued without confirmation of the origin of fish products.

Similar violations were also found in the Kyzylzhar district: the local veterinary service issued more than 30 certificates without details of additional laboratory tests mandatory before dispatching products.

Based on acts of prosecutorial oversight, 15 officials were held accountable, and violations concerning the issuance of certificates and maintenance of livestock burial sites have been rectified.

It is worth recalling that in November last year, prosecutors of the North Kazakhstan Region identified violations in the field of veterinary safety, due to which the incidence of brucellosis in cattle increased threefold, and the mortality rate of domestic animals rose by approximately 2,000 head.
