The Prosecutor's Office of the Korday District of the Zhambyl Region has uncovered the theft of 45.2 million tenge intended for the funding of a state-run kindergarten.
According to the press service of the department, for two years the management of the preschool institution illegally received budget funds for children who did not attend.
"On 11 March 2025, the fact of the theft was registered in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations of the District Prosecutor's Office under paragraph 2) of part 4 of Article 189 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the statement said.
The investigation has been assigned to the regional department of the Anti-Corruption Agency.
Recall, earlier the Prosecutor's Office of the Beineu District of the Mangystau Region uncovered that the director and accountant of the Kuiken kindergarten were illegally transferring parents' contributions to their own accounts. As a result, the state suffered losses totalling more than 12 million tenge.
Later, the Prosecutor's Office of the city of Karazhal in the Ulytau Region uncovered a theft of budget funds amounting to 15.9 million tenge by the accountant of the Baldyrgan kindergarten in the village of Zhayrem.
