The Almaty Akimat has approved resolutions on the compulsory acquisition of land for state needs.
According to Zakon.kz, the decision was made within the framework of the pilot national project 'Comfortable School' and transport infrastructure development.
Specifically, in the Kuramys microdistrict of the Nauryzbai district, they plan to acquire 11 plots for the construction of an access road and car park for a new school with 1,500 places. The acquisition procedure is planned to be completed by 31 December 2027.
Furthermore, by the end of 2028, plots are planned to be acquired in the Alatau, Turksib and Nauryzbai districts for the construction of layover and turning areas. This concerns 32 plots north of the Almaty-1 station, 18 in the Karagaily microdistrict, 13 in the Almerek microdistrict, two on Zakarpatskaya Street, and another two west of the Northern Ring Road.
It is noted that all facilities will be used for public transport and road network needs.
Recall that in January last year, it was reported that in 2023, the Almaty Land Relations Department acquired 222 land plots from citizens and various organisations for state needs.
At the same time, last year the editorial office of the FBRK received complaints about improper land acquisition in the regions. The aim of this campaign was supposed to be territories belonging to large landowners, but in practice, plots are often taken from small and medium-sized farms.
Having reviewed the land situation in Shymkent, Pavlodar, Kostanay, Akmola, North Kazakhstan, Karaganda, East Kazakhstan and Almaty regions, we concluded that no significant changes in land areas have occurred.
