Residents of the 'Dastur 5' residential complex in Astana are complaining about the stench, rubbish and inaction of local authorities.
Published videos show lorries dumping construction waste near the residential complex.
'Every day, behind the building at 12/1 Tole Bi Street, KamAZ trucks just dump rubbish right under the residents' windows! Is this some kind of new "premium service"?', wrote political scientist Syrym Itkulov on his Telegram channel.

It is noted that residents have sent appeals to the akimat. The authorities promised to 'look into it', but have taken no action whatsoever.
'There is more and more rubbish, the ecology is going to hell, and no one cares about anyone else,' the message states.
Earlier, residents of the capital's Saraishyk district complained about the dumping of construction and household waste into a lake near the station. The local akimat promised to look into the situation.
In early April, activists from the public movement 'Zhana adamdar' exposed an illegal rubbish dump covering an area of 70,000 m², located under the windows of the 'Aiva' residential complex in Astana. The activists appealed to the Deputy Akim of the Yesil District of Astana, Madiyar Nugerbekov, asking him to intervene and take action.
