The grandson of former president Nursultan Nazarbayev, son of Dariga Nazarbayeva – Nurali Aliyev – has stepped down as a shareholder of JSC "TransTelecom" and resigned as chairman of the board of directors due to the sale of the company.
On his Instagram page, Aliyev writes that he took over "TransTelecom" in 2013. At that time, the company was a small local telecoms operator providing services to the railway sector.
"We faced ambitious tasks: to transform TTC into a modern, high-tech company, introduce innovations and develop new areas. Thanks to the efforts of our team and the support of our clients, we achieved all of this. Today, 'TransTelecom' is a national-scale IT company providing a full range of IT and infocommunication services, which over these 10 years has made a significant contribution to the development and implementation of Kazakhstan's digitalisation strategy", the statement reads.
According to Nurali Aliyev, over this period the company's net profit grew by 290% – from 4.8 to 18.7 billion tenge. In addition, the company's sales increased from 15.8 billion tenge in 2013 to 86.2 billion tenge in 2024.
