The Taraz prosecutor's office has identified violations of labour and pension legislation requirements, resulting in the infringement of the rights of 742 citizens.
According to the department's press service, Zhasyl El Taraz LLP, which is engaged in cleaning and urban improvement, has not transferred mandatory pension contributions since the beginning of the year for 605 employees amounting to 24 million tenge.
Similar violations were identified concerning 19 pensioners working in the Taraz education department. They were underpaid contributions totalling 3 million tenge.
Based on the prosecutor's oversight act, the arrears in pension contributions amounting to 27 million tenge were paid in full.
At the same time, following the intervention of prosecutors, the working hours were reduced for 41 employees with disabilities. Benefits related to job loss were assigned to 45 people with disabilities, 10 people were referred for vocational training, and 22 citizens received referrals for subsidised jobs.
For context, in April, the Kyzylorda region prosecutor's office identified violations of the rights of a number of workers, leading to wage arrears. It was noted that 2,360 people, employed under the 'Youth Practice' programme, had not received their January salary totalling 263.9 million tenge.
