In Shymkent, the court considered a criminal case against a minor who used violence against a police officer. The incident occurred after law enforcement officers arrived at a report of a fight in the courtyard of a residential building.

HOW THE INCIDENT HAPPENED

According to court documents, the events took place in November 2025 in the courtyard of a house located in the 18th microdistrict of Shymkent city.

The minor was in the courtyard when police officers, called due to a fight, arrived at the scene. The teenager kicked the law enforcement service vehicle. When the officers got out of the car, he failed to comply with their lawful demands.

According to the court, during the conflict the teenager struck one of the police officers in the face, causing bodily harm that did not result in any injury to health.

UNDER WHICH ARTICLE THE CASE WAS CONSIDERED

The case was considered under paragraphs 1 and 5 of part 4 of Article 380 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (“Threat or use of violence against a representative of authority”).

The court noted that the defendant’s guilt was confirmed by the evidence gathered during the criminal case.

WHAT POSITIONS THE PARTIES TOOK

The prosecutor requested that the minor be sentenced to a penalty of restriction of liberty. The injured police officers left the question of the measure of punishment to the discretion of the court.

The defendant himself admitted guilt, declared sincere remorse, and asked for a lenient sentence.

WHAT PUNISHMENT THE COURT IMPOSED

The court took into account the teenager’s sincere remorse as a mitigating circumstance. No aggravating circumstances were established in the case.

As a result, the court found the minor guilty and imposed a sentence of 1 year and 4 months of restriction of liberty.

The court verdict has entered into legal force.
