JSC "National Company "Food Contract Corporation" reported a consolidated loss for the 2023 financial year.
According to bes.media, last year this figure stood at 18.9 billion tenge, compared to 15.9 billion tenge in 2022.
It is reported that the company's gross profit fell from 10.2 billion tenge in 2022 to 1.2 billion tenge in 2023. The authorised capital increased to 31.4 billion tenge in 2023.
"The company recognised losses from the revaluation of securities amounting to 1.2 billion tenge and other impairment losses totalling 525 million tenge", the statement said.
The national company's revenue from contracts with customers amounted to 25.3 billion tenge. In the previous year, this sum was 78.3 billion tenge. The operating loss stood at 5.4 billion tenge, compared to 6.6 billion tenge for 2022.
It is noted that the sole shareholder of Prodcorporation is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, represented by the Ministry of Agriculture.
It has become known that this year, through "KazAgroFinance", an additional allocation of 100 billion tenge is expected for the leasing of agricultural machinery and equipment, which will be provided at a rate of no more than 6% per annum.
