Prosecutors in the East Kazakhstan Region have uncovered violations of citizens' labour rights and failures to pay wages on time.

According to the department's press service, prosecutors in Ridder identified wage arrears owed to 220 employees of the Vodokanal enterprise amounting to more than 50 million tenge.

In another case, prosecutors in the Markakol district found that at a municipal enterprise, KGP Terekty, 16 workers had not received their wages for 2 months. The total debt amounted to 5.4 million tenge.

"Based on the acts of prosecutorial supervision, the wage arrears in these regions have been paid in full, the workers' rights have been restored, and those responsible have been brought to administrative responsibility," the department reported.

It will be recalled that in August, it was reported that in the Zerenda district of Akmola Region, a state enterprise failed to pay wages to 943 employees. The debt amounted to 397 million tenge.

Furthermore, it was reported that employees of kindergartens in the Khromtau and Uil districts of Aktobe Region did not receive salary supplements that should have been paid to them between 2022 and 2024.

In April, in Akmola Region, prosecutors uncovered a case of non-payment of wages to employees of GKP Burabay Su Arnasy. For January of this year, 205 employees of the enterprise were not paid wages totalling 26.7 million tenge.
