Submitted by Вера Александрова on

The Pavlodar prosecutor's office has uncovered instances of illegal charging by the management of one rehabilitation centre for social services provided to people with disabilities. It is noted that the institution is funded from the local budget.

According to the press service of the department, the head of the centre entered into fictitious contracts, on the basis of which people with disabilities paid money for services already covered by budget funds.

As a result, representatives of minors suffered damages amounting to 7.6 million tenge. The Pavlodar police department has initiated a pre-trial investigation into fraud.

Recall that in December 2024, in the Turkestan region, for the embezzlement of 84.3 million tenge, the director of the Maktaaral Rehabilitation Centre for Disabled Children, Nurjan Suleimenov, and the chief accountant, Madina Nauryzbayeva, were convicted.
