The Supreme Audit Chamber (SAC) has brought the National Accreditation Centre (NAC) to administrative responsibility.

“Following a state audit, the Republican State Enterprise on the Right of Economic Management ‘National Accreditation Centre’ of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan was brought to administrative responsibility”, the press service of the department stated.

It was reported that the NAC provided a number of services at independently set prices, rather than those approved by the supervising state body.

The SAC instructed the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition to monitor compliance with antimonopoly legislation.

The agency, in turn, confirmed the violation of the requirements of the Entrepreneurial Code. As a result, the NAC was brought to administrative responsibility with a fine imposed, which the centre paid within the established deadlines.
