According to a study by the ‘Strategy’ Centre for Social and Political Research Public Foundation, there has been noticeable progress in the work of Olzhas Bektenov’s government compared to the previous period. The expert community noted positive dynamics in a number of key areas of public administration.
According to information published on the foundation’s website, the study was conducted in January 2025. It involved 31 experts with an average professional experience of 23 years. The survey showed an improvement in the cabinet of ministers’ performance indicators. The average rating of the government's activities was 2.77 points on a five-point scale, which exceeds the indicators of the previous government (1.60 points).
Significant results include the successful handling of spring floods, which demonstrated the ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
Positive results were also achieved in foreign policy. Experts note the strengthening of the country's international standing.
Notable progress has been made in digital transformation, indicating consistent development of technological modernisation.
In the economic sphere, positive changes are observed in the development of trade, transport infrastructure and agriculture. The government demonstrates good responsiveness in decision-making, receiving 3.13 points for this criterion. Support for domestic producers is also noted.
In the social sphere, positive dynamics in demographic indicators continue. High ratings were given to indicators of natural population growth (3.07 points) and net migration (2.80 points). It is worth noting that for most socio-economic criteria, ratings were above 2 points.
A significant indicator was the increase in the government's influence on the country's economic situation - rising from 6th place in previous studies, the cabinet of ministers moved up to 1st place with a rating of 3.90 points. This demonstrates the strengthening of the government's role in economic development.
The conducted research shows that, over the period under review, certain improvements were achieved in various areas of public administration. The overall development dynamic is assessed as positive. Therefore, it can be assumed that the continuation of the initiated reforms creates a foundation for further progress.
