The Police Department of Pavlodar Region is conducting an investigation into the beating of a schoolboy by a security guard at the educational institution.

According to the department's press service, an intoxicated security guard struck a sixth-grade student in the chest. The victim sought treatment at a hospital.

"A forensic medical examination has been ordered, and a procedural decision will be made based on its results", the statement reads.

It has been reported that following the incident, the security guard was placed in a medical detoxification centre. He was fined for being in a public place while intoxicated.

Additionally, the police have sent a submission to the regional education department to hold the school's management accountable for allowing an intoxicated security guard to remain on duty.

Previously, a video emerged online from a private Almaty nursery school "Akhlak", showing a caregiver choking a 4-year-old child. Two other staff members were present in the room at the time. The abuse came to light after the child complained to their parents about being hit at the nursery.

The press service of the Almaty Police Department stated that law enforcement had opened a criminal case regarding the incident. It was also reported that the branch of the nursery had temporarily suspended its operations. The suspect and the head of the institution were dismissed, and the director was fined.
