In the Akmola region, the akim of the Yesil district Serik Balzhanov was fined for failing to provide information. According to media reports, the akim received a court request but did not comply with it.
"Failure to comply with the court request indicates an abuse of procedural rights by the defendant. By a ruling of the regional court's panel, a monetary penalty (20 MCI) of T73,840 has been imposed on the district akim", the Akmola Regional Court reported.
The Judicial Panel for Administrative Cases considered a lawsuit from a resident of the region seeking to overturn a resolution of the district akimat regarding the re-registration of rights to a plot of land.
"During the examination of the case, the panel sent a court request to the district akim demanding information on the disputed plot to establish the circumstances. Failure to comply with the court request indicates an abuse of procedural rights by the defendant. The court ruling has entered into legal force", the statement reads.
It will be recalled that earlier the akim of Saran Yerkin Baulykov, the head of the energy and housing and communal services department of the Karaganda region Tlektes Dosayev, as well as the first deputy akim of the region Azamat Taizhanov were punished for inadequate monitoring of preparations for the heating season.
Shortly before that, in the West Kazakhstan Region, the akim of the Zhanabulak rural district of the Akzhaik region Zhambyl Dabyskaliev received a reprimand for using obscene language towards a local resident.
In November last year, the akim of the Novoilinovsk rural district of the Kostanay region Makash Taimasov became known to internet users due to a scandalous video clip. The footage showed Taimasov trying to buy alcohol after 23:00 and, upon being refused, using obscene expressions towards the salesperson.
Later, the akim appeared before the Ethics Council. The official stated that the obscene language was not directed at the salesperson but was only used as filler words. However, these arguments did not convince the council members. As a result, Makash Taimasov was dismissed.
