After a long wait on the housing list, a woman finally received a flat from the state housing fund in the suburbs of Pavlodar - in the village of Kenzhekohl in 2022.

According to Informburo.kz, the new house turned out to have a stove heating system. In addition, there were problems with water supply and sewage.

In 2023, the woman was recognised as disabled, and lighting the stove became impossible for her. She appealed to the mayor with a request "to reinstate her place on the housing list or provide her with other housing suitable for her status as a disabled person", but was refused, after which she took the matter to court.

Ultimately, the court ruled to terminate the tenancy agreement with the plaintiff and to provide the woman with housing in accordance with her status as a disabled person.

"By the court's decision, the defendant is compelled to take measures to terminate the tenancy agreement with the plaintiff, and to reinstate K. on the waiting list for housing from the state housing fund under the category of large family from the date of her registration on 27 June 2014, subsequently providing her with housing in accordance with her status as a disabled person", states the court ruling.
