The prosecutor's office of the Mangistau district in the Mangistau region identified a number of violations during an inspection of preschool institutions.
"Violations of sanitary standards, fire safety requirements, labour legislation, as well as standards in the field of education and medical activities were established", the press service of the department reported.
As a result, law enforcement agencies initiated 111 administrative cases and imposed fines totalling more than 19 million tenge.
At the same time, prosecutors initiated a criminal case concerning the illegal receipt of 6.6 million tenge from the state budget by a private kindergarten for children who did not actually attend it.
Ultimately, the kindergarten director was sentenced to 3 years of restricted freedom. In addition, he was banned from working in the field of preschool education for 2 years.
Recall, in September last year, in the Ulytau region, a conviction was handed down to the accountant of a nursery-kindergarten who, from 2021 to 2023, inflated her own salary. Over 3 years, she transferred more than 15 million tenge to her personal account.
At the beginning of October, the inter-district criminal court of Astana delivered a verdict for the head of the State Municipal State-Owned Enterprise "Nursery-Kindergarten" and her deputy for economic affairs. They were accused of misappropriation and embezzlement of entrusted property worth more than 13 million tenge.
